Holiday Dinner Plate Learning Activity

A perfect activity for your little students in anticipation of the thanksgiving dinner. This can be a literacy or math activity as well as fine motor practice.

Supplies Needed

Cut out food/picture choices.

Glue cutouts onto paper plate

Label pictures.

This can be a writing lesson for labeling or favorite foods, nutrition activity or you can add prices for a math extension lesson. Your kindergarteners will love practicing academic skills with this activity.

Faux Watercolor Turkey

This is a super fun art activity for your kindergarten students. Not only do they get the opportunity to express their art skills, but they also practice fine motor skills with this activity.

Supplies

Use markers to draw designs on dry coffee filter. Spray water on filter and allow to dry. Next cut out turkey body and glue to dried filter. Add body parts and clothespins for legs.

Disguise a Turkey Activity

This is a fun activity for your kindergarteners to showcase their creativity. Just download and print, then send home with your students. They can be creative and “disguise” their turkey, then return to display around the classroom. This makes for a fun and colorful room display for this holiday.

Nostalgic Turkey Handprint Keepsake

Here is an activity that is creative and nostalgic, but also has a literacy component. Just download, print and let your students fill in the missing words on the poem. Add a handprint, laminate, add pipe cleaner and beads for a hanger, and VOILA!!– you have a cute, handmade keepsake for your little learners to take home.
