The month of November is sometimes called the “no-school month” because of the many days off. However, students still need to be educated and new skills introduced and practiced. Do you need Turkey Activities for Kindergarten that are fun, engaging and purposeful for this month?

Math

Count and Match

Having a count and match that is turkey themed for this month is always fun. Your kindergarteners can count 1-30 as well as match the printable turkey feathers to the numerals. Students can always have more fun by using “real” turkey feathers as manipulatives for this activity. There is a printable recording sheet along with addition mat for differentiation extension.

This is included in the monthly Count and Match Bundle for added savings.

Craft Activities

Disguise A Turkey

I love this “Disguise a Turkey” **FREEBIE** activity for kindergarteners! This is a family project that the students get to take home and complete. Just download, print and let your students and their families be creative. When the turkeys return disguised, you can then display them around the room or on a bulletin board for fun and decoration for the remaining weeks before school lets out for Thanksgiving break.

Coffee Filter Watercolor Turkey

This is another fun **FREEBIE** for your students and your turkey theme.

Students color with markers on a coffee filter. Spray filter with water to allow the colors to blend. Trace the turkey body template onto paper and cut out. (Great fine motor practice!) Glue body to coffee filter, add body parts and clothespins for legs. Your kinders now have a fun turkey project to take home!!

Handprint Poem

What grown-up doesn’t love a handprint of their little one? This is the perfect thanksgiving activity for your kindergarteners. Not only do they use paint on their hands for the print, but also practice writing cvc words on the poem printable. After print dries, laminate, hole punch the top, add pipe cleaner and beads along with raffia bow. A fabulous memory piece of art for your students to take home and hang.

Your little learners will love all these Turkey Activities For Kindergarten that are engaging, fun and purposeful!!
