Supplies Needed for Printable Alphabet Soup Letter Punch Cards:

Hand Held, Single Hole Punch (For Each Participating Student)
Printer
Paper

How To Use:

I use these cards in my ABC/Word Work station. I print out the letters we are working on and set out along with a hand-held, single hole-punch in the station. I also like to put the letters and hole punch in a pencil punch. This makes the ‘station’ portable. The students can take the pencil pouch and go anywhere in the classroom.

Students can use the hole punch to punch the letters around border that match with the letter in the center.

This gives the students specific practice with letter identification and fine motor development.

**A little tip I learned from another teacher using these, was to use a highlighter first, highlighting the correct letters and then punching them. This adds one additional step for the students to utilize those identification skills! I also encourage the students to color the letter and matching, beginning sound pictures, that are in the middle.**

Each page includes:
4 identical letter cards, with various fonts and matching sound graphics.
