November has rolled in like a festive parade! Your kindergartners are zooming ahead, perfecting their reading and writing superpowers. Looking for some engaging yet meaningful November Literacy Activities for Little Learners? Buckle up for my top picks of the month!

November rolls in with Thanksgiving, Turkeys, Fall and Pumpkins! I can’t get enough of weaving these cozy vibes into my monthly activities. So why not sprinkle some of these fun literacy ideas into your curriculum for a November that’s as engaging as a Thanksgiving feast?

Leaf Letter Hunt

Kick things off by snipping some fabulous leaf shapes from colorful construction paper and jazzing them up with letters! Next, unleash your creativity and hide or sprinkle these leafy treasures all over the classroom or playground. Time for a scavenger hunt extravaganza for your little learners to track down those leafy gems! Once they’ve scooped up all the leaves, watch them dive into a word-building bonanza while flexing their phonics muscles! Let the fun (and learning) begin!

Storytime

As educators of little learners, we understand that reading aloud is essential for developing vocabulary and reading skills. However, it is equally important to have books that connect with the themes of the month. Incorporate these books alongside the Picture Book Activity Pack for an engaging and meaningful Turkey Time in November.
