For convenience, each page includes two identical sections, allowing for easy duplication. Cut each page in half and then staple them together to form a complete booklet. Once assembled, the books are ready for students to use. Each page features a subtraction sentence accompanied by counters that aid in solving the problem, as well as designated space for students to write their answers.
Students Create
Your students will begin their activity with the first page of the booklet. If desired, they can color the counters to add a personal touch, although this step is optional and can be skipped. After coloring, they will cut out the counters that correspond to that particular page. These counters will be used to help solve the subtraction problem presented on the page. Once they have determined the answer, they will glue the appropriate number of counters onto the page to visually represent their solution.
This engaging process will continue with each subsequent page of the book, allowing your little learners to practice subtraction in a fun and creative manner.
