January in kindergarten is a special kind of chaos ❄️ After the excitement of the holidays, little learners return with big energy, short attention spans, and a need for hands-on activities that feel fun but still build important skills. The good news? Winter provides the perfect theme for meaningful, engaging learning.

These three must-have January winter activities will keep your kindergarten students focused, learning, and happy during those chilly winter weeks.

Did you know that Winter Break is the perfect time to make a sensory bin for your classroom? And here is the perfect winter one, complete with faux snow. Let’s start with rock salt or fake snow (p.s. Always teach your students how to properly use and interact with your sensory bin and it’s contents) Next, add in your winter manipulatives, like these snowman erasers or snowflakes.
