Faux Watercolor Turkey
Materials Needed:
- Turkey Body Template
- Coffee Filters
- Markers
- Clothespins
- Glue
- Water Spray Bottle
Instructions:
- Using markers, create designs on a dry coffee filter.
- Lightly spray water on the filter. The colors will blend beautifully, creating a faux watercolor effect.
- Allow the coffee filter to dry completely. This step can be sped up by placing it in a sunny spot or using a hairdryer on a low setting.
- Once dry, use the turkey body template to cut out the body shape from a piece of cardstock or construction paper.
- Attach the colorful coffee filter behind the turkey body to form its vibrant feathers. You can use glue or clothespins to secure it in place.
- Add details like eyes and a beak to the turkey using markers or cut-out paper pieces.
- Let your little learners personalize their turkeys with additional embellishments if desired, such as glitter or stickers.
