Over the last few years I have been explicitly teaching both literacy and math concepts, without a ‘set’ curriculum. I have found that using a balance of books, anchor charts, songs, videos, meaningful independent practice work, along with hands-on activities has proven to be a successful model in my classroom. I have created my own ‘curriculum’ to teach these standards and am now sharing with teachers everywhere! This unit is for helping to teach about sorting.
- Coordinating pieces to create a sorting anchor chart
- I Can statement cards for each activity
- Organizational Label for each set of cards
- Header sorting cards w/ accompanying attribute specific cards
- Cards have identifying labels to match attribute
