As we all know, Mother’s Day is such a special holiday. A day where we can honor the women in our lives who have done so much for us, spent countless hours loving us, and ultimately are spending their lives being our mom (or grandma, step mom, etc). Kids, especially young kids, have good intentions of making and giving gifts to their moms, but it can be hard for them to actually carry out the idea. That is why I always try to do a fun and sweet Mother’s Day gift with my students, so they can take it home to their moms for Mother’s Day.
I host a Mothers Day Tea Party the Friday before Mother’s Day and it’s always a day that the moms remember! My students make handprint placemats, invitations, hand-drawn portraits of their mom, and a special gift. Have you checked out the Mother’s Day gift my kindergartners are making this year? You can read about it here!
