Free Online Learning Resources For Kids During Corona Virus School Closures

Wow! Just a few days ago, we were joking about the full-moon, Friday the 13th and daylight savings being all in one week. It’s amazing to me how life can turn on a dime. The full moon isn’t on my radar anymore. Nor do I really care about Friday the 13th. Like many of you, my state has officially closed all K-12 schools until mid-April. This has left teachers and families scrambling to figure out how to deliver education, without actually meeting. While this is foreign to so many of us, we have had to come up with plans or even simple solutions to meet the needs of our students. I am sure we all agree that too much lapsed time can have negative effects on their learning. That being said, it is not the easiest when we as teachers don’t have face-to-face contact with our students and parents are not used to being the sole providers of their education. I have put together some free online learning resources that you can pass on to families. This will help keep our student’s brains moving forward, as well as thinking, learning, exploring and engaging.
