March brings Rainbows to Kindergarten! Little learners love engaging in the colorful and enjoyable themed activities during this month. Here are some of my all-time favorite Rainbow Activities for Little Learners that wont break the bank.

Educators in kindergarten adore incorporating rainbows for several reasons. They serve as a tool to teach colors, numbers, and add an element of fun to the learning process.

Rainbow Rice Sensory Bin

Fill your sensory bin with rice dyed in different colors of the rainbow. Add scoops, cups, and small toys for little learners to explore and play with. (Easy to Make Rainbow Rice for the Sensory Bin)

Rainbow Art

Provide children with colorful paints and large sheets of paper to create their own rainbow masterpieces. Encourage them to experiment with different brush strokes and mixing colors. **Freebie** Printable Rainbow Pattern Activity is another fun and engaging rainbow art activity your students will love.

Rainbow Snack

Create a healthy snack station with an assortment of fruits and vegetables in rainbow colors. Your students can build their own rainbow snacks using items like strawberries, orange slices, yellow peppers, kiwi, blueberries, and grapes. (Don’t forget to get your students grown-ups involved and be informed about allergies.)
