Fall Leaf Count & Match: Quantity to Numerals
The leaves are falling and despite all the noise around us, learning IS happening! If you teach like me, then you teach each numeral explicitly. This also includes teaching about matching quantities to numerals. I like to teach the method of touch and count. Students will touch each object/item and attach a numeral to it. This falls under the counting and cardinality kindergarten standards. And to attend to this standard (K.CC.3a) I created this simple but purposeful activity, Fall Leaf Count & Match Quantities to Numerals.
This activity is great for practicing counting objects and matching to numerals 0-7. But it’s also great for fine motor muscle practice too, since this activity requires cutting and gluing. You can download this fall leaf activity for FREE at the bottom of this post, but first you may want to check out these awesome math activities to turn your Little Learners into Little Mathematicians!
Kids will love this fun Fall themed activity to help them learn how to count. There are quite a few ways that this activity can be used in the classroom. Students can use this independently, in small groups, in a math station or even with the whole class.
I am trying to download the Fall Leaf Number Match, but I do not see the download button. Can you please help me with this? I would love to use this resource.
I had a little glitch and the link was deleted. Reposting it now. 🙂
