Do you use plastic Easter Eggs in your kindergarten classroom for purposeful practice? Here are some fun and engaging Easter Egg Activities For Little Learners that both you and your students will love.
I love using a multitude of different props and activities for purposeful practice with little learners. This helps keep academic practice both fun and “eggciting”!! Plastic Easter Eggs are an inexpensive way to add a fun, colorful, and purposeful way to practice academic skills during this time of year..
Plastic Easter Eggs
Since these are everywhere this time of year and are inexpensive, use them in your classroom for many different meaningful activities. Add to your sensory bin, morning bins, math or literacy stations, or any other station of your choice.
Sensory Bin
These are perfect for your sensory bin. Just open the eggs and add whatever skill you wish. Close the eggs, add to your bin filled with easter grass, and Voila!! You have a purposeful and productive academic skill practice for your little learners!!
In the picture above, I just printed out an academic skill of my choice onto Avery Labels. Then added the labels to the eggs. Students then open the eggs and write the sight word on a recording sheet. This can be a small group, partner, or individual activity.
Math skill practice such as number ID and addition and/or subtraction sentences are great for these eggs. Letter Id, missing letter, CVC or sight words are also a great way to use these eggs or purposeful literacy practice.
Your students will love to practice academic skills with this fun yet meaningful and effective activity.
What’s In The Egg?
Here is a **FREEBIE** downloadable activity for a hands on way to practice any skill. Just print this easy recording sheet and add to your egg activity for meaningful and fun practice.
