Do you need some ideas for celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday? Here are 25+ Super Fun Dr. Seuss Ideas For Your Classroom that are engaging and purposeful.
As a kindergarten teacher one of my main goals is to help my children read. We do a lot of word activities and read a lot of books. Some of our favorites, each year, happen to be classics written by Dr. Seuss. He is clearly a children’s book genius and has a way of entrapping us in a story that can sometimes be hard to tell but is fun nonetheless.
March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday and March has thoughtfully been penned Read Across America Month. Both of these help promote reading to our children, both at home and at school. It is a simple reminder of just how important reading is for our young children.
I also like to use Dr. Seuss’s Birthday and Read Across America Month as a reason to add some fun into my classroom. I have done extra research this year, to make it extra fun, and thought I would share it with all of you. I found exciting hands on activities, crafts, printables and decorations for the classroom. I also, of course, added my favorite Dr. Seuss books. Because that is a must!
