This is a letter sound matching activity. Each alphabet letter includes 4 sound clip-it cards with only 1 correct beginning sound picture.
All 26 letters come in full-color and black/white.
Also includes an optional extension activity.
This is a part of my Alphabet Soup literacy collection and program!

YES!D E P E R S O N A L I Z E // Let’s chat about inappropriate behavior for a sec. Depersonalizing is an EMPOWERING way to work thru behavior for both you and the student.
Let’s imagine a child has misbehaved in your class. When this happens, it’s a natural response to take this personally and assume the child is being defiant on purpose. This often leads us (the teacher) to respond emotionally with the intent to exert our control and/or punish the child.
Taking behavior personally and being punishment-minded intensifies the situation by immediately propelling us into a power-struggle. It also damages the relationship we have built and rarely results in a learning opportunity for the student.
Let’s flip that reaction to something that doesn’t usually come quite as naturally to us. When we assume kids need PRACTICE, not PUNISHMENT, it reminds us to focus on what we can control in the situation - ourselves. We can’t force anyone to do anything, but we CAN make it safe for the child to learn and grow by reteaching and modeling the expectations.
Let’s commit this year to depersonalizing misbehavior and looking at it as an opportunity to reteach and model our expectations so all students can experience success. Who’s with me? 🙋🏼♀️
